Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Executive Manager of Real Estate Valuation, Eng. Hamad Al-Hasawy said that Q2 2026 transactions underscored the private residential sector's vital market standing among market participants. The segment generated nearly half of the quarter's total KD 907.5 million transaction value.
Al-Hasawy explained that private residential transactions led Q2 2026 with a 47% share (up from 38.5% in Q1). Investment real estate remained second at 31.6% (vs. 28.5% in Q1), while commercial real estate fell to third at 12.4% (vs. 21.0% in Q1). Other segments made up 8.9% of total transactions, led by plant nurseries (3.2%), warehouses (3.0%), and the coastal strip (~2.6%). Meanwhile, craftmanship real estate accounted for 0.1% of total Q2 value.
He added that real estate transaction value reached KD 907.5 million in Q2 2026, based on monthly data from the Ministry of Justice’s Registration and Documentation Services Department. This represents an 11.4% decline from Q1 2026’s high, yet a notable 15% increase year-on-year.
Furthermore, Al-Hasawy emphasized that real estate valuation is a key component of the industry, operating at multiple levels.
