Kuwait Finance House (KFH) organized the annual town hall meeting for employees to shed light on the achievements and discuss challenges, in Al Raya Ballroom at Courtyard Hotel, in the presence of Acting Group Chief Executive Officer at KFH, Abdulwahab Iesa Al Rushood, and members of the bank's executive management.
During his speech, Al Rushood said: "The year 2022 witnessed an exceptional performance for KFH, which culminated in positive results at different levels and various fields. In terms of financial performance, KFH succeeded in achieving record growth, as net profits in 2022 increased by 47% compared to 2021, reaching about KD 358 million.
As for human resources, KFH Group continued to lead the way in achieving superior results at the market level compared to banks and peer institutions, with an engagement rate of 84% at KFH-Kuwait and 83% at the Group level.
He added that during 2022, the bank focused on developing current and future leaders through the implementation of specialized programs in cooperation with prestigious educational institutions, and among many other achievements, it launched KFH Digital Academy.
Al Rushood added that KFH has made great achievements in implementing the digital transformation strategy, noting that the percentage of using e-banking transactions carried out by customers through KFHOnline and mobile application increased by 35%, bringing the total number of electronic banking transactions carried out by customers to more than 210 million.
In terms of sustainability, Al Rushood pointed out that KFH was the first bank in Kuwait to receive the GSAS-Gold Level certificate for KFH Auto.
Al Rushood added: "We have launched many initiatives and qualitative steps within the Group, signed several sustainability and women's empowerment agreements with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and won the Sustainability Award from EMEA Finance Group."
Al Rushood explained that KFH crowned its strong performance and achievements during 2022 by winning 23 prestigious awards from well-known international and regional entities in recognition of its pioneering role and outstanding contributions to the Islamic finance industry. Most notably, the "World`s Best Islamic Financial Institution" award from Global Finance Group.
In conclusion, Al Rushood thanked and appreciated the employees for their sincere efforts in the past period, looking forward during the next stage to more accomplishments and achievements, and wishing them continued success.
Group Chief Human Resources Officer at KFH, Zeyad Abdullah AlOmar
KFH Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Zeyad Abdullah AlOmar, welcomed the employees to the town hall meeting along with 392 new employees joining the KFH family in 2022, indicating that the Kuwaitization ratio at KFH reached 80%.
During his speech, Al Omar expressed his pride at the rate of employee retention at KFH, noting that it reached 90%, which is one of the highest rates in the banking sector in Kuwait.
AlOmar added: "In order to invest in training and developing the skills of our employees, specialized training programs have been designed and contracted with the best international institutions, believing in the importance of human resources as essential assets for the success of any institution. To continue supporting our employees, KFH is the only bank that provides full financial support in the internal scholarship program, and the number of our graduates who obtained a master's degree has reached 8 employees.
He said: "One of the most prominent initiatives of KFH for the year 2022, which is the first experience of its kind, a full team of 9 employees was assigned to serve our customers in Turkiye in coordination with KFH-Turkey for two consecutive months. This initiative received positive feedback from our customers and also our employees gained new experiences."
Regarding the digital transformation in human resources, AlOmar explained that KFH was the first bank in Kuwait and Bahrain to implement Oracle Cloud in the banking sector, indicating that digital transformation is pivotal in improving the efficiency of KFH's human resources work to achieve sustainable growth and build human cadres equipped to transform from a routine and manual environment to a digital environment that enhances productivity and empowerment.
AlOmar added: "In 2022, we launched "Qadha" program, which is the official umbrella at KFH to honor and appreciate employees. The diverse program was prepared in an organized manner based on the latest studies and best practices to appreciate any achievement and distinguished performance made by the employee. We are proud that more than 800 employees have been recognized for their excellence over the past year".
