Part of KFH program “Better Health ... Better Life”
The number of subscribers in the virtual walking challenge organized by Kuwait Finance House (KFH) in partnership with V-Thru application has reached nearly 60 thousand since the beginning of Ramadan. The virtual walking challenge takes place throughout the month of Ramadan covering over 50 areas.
This comes as part of KFH’s “Better Health ... Better Life” program and the bank’s social responsibility and efforts to engage with people to promote virtual activity and daily exercise lifestyle.
The virtual activity takes place during the walking hours allowed by the government. Everyone is invited to participate by opening the app and completing the challenge of walking a certain distance (1km). Everyone who completes the challenge in time receives 1KD in their balance on the App which can be used for in-app purchases from various cafes and restaurants. People could also have the option to donate the daily prize of 1KD to charity inside Kuwait.
At the end of the month of Ramadan KFH will reward the top 10 in the scoreboard with X-Pay compatible wearable devices (Garmin, Fitbit, Samsung).
In addition to the daily walking challenge, KFH organizes side challenges by encouraging people to activate their Digital Wallet on their fitness wearable device and upon finishing the daily challenge, they show one of KFH representatives proof of activation for an extra credit reward of KD2. KFH also distributes coffee for participants in some areas in collaboration with Kuwaiti small businesses.
