Kuwait Finance House (KFH) will host the Technical Workshop on Islamic Banking that is organized by the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI), the global umbrella of Islamic Financial Institutions. The workshop, which KFH will host, will take place in Kuwait, on 13 - 15 April 2015.
Strategy and Corporate Affairs General Manager at KFH, Eng. Fahad Khaled Al-Mukhaizeem said that KFH is generously hosting this Technical Workshop as part of its effort to disseminate the awareness on Islamic Finance in the region. The bank is a founding member of CIBAFI and is also represented at CIBAFI’s Board of Directors (BOD) since 2001.
Al-Mukhaizeem explained that the 3-day workshop aims to provide participants with hands on technical knowledge and skills pertaining to the knowledge that would enable them to operate in the Islamic banking sector; and enable them to understand the mechanism of Sharia governance and its role.
This Technical Workshop, which will seamlessly integrate theory with practice, seeks to engage participants in discussion relating to the key concepts and principles of Islamic finance. Technical Workshop will focus on the overview of Islamic banking operations and transactions.
Moreover, he added that this initiative is aligned with both organizations’ strategic missions, in particular CIBAFI’s endeavor to enhance capacity building in the Islamic Financial Services Industry (IFSI).
