Human Resources and Public Services General Manager at Kuwait Finance House KFH Zeyad Al-Omar stressed that human resources development is a must to raise production efficiency and offer fertile ground for innovation and improvement in all sectors of the bank.
Al-Omar added, in a press statement, that employee training is essential for an organization’s success and is actually a crucial part of employees’ work. He went on to say that KFH worked tirelessly during the year 2013 to provide its employees with the needed training courses and workshops. He indicated that the total number of KFH employees who received training courses in the year 2013 reached 2200 where 13780 training programs were designed to meet their needs during the year.
Al-Omar explained that around 7165 seats were tailored to e-learning through 230 sessions that covered important topics and subjects of which Information Security, Customer Service, Team Work, and Time Management. He stated that 6615 seats through 527 sessions were tailored to traditional learning (in auditoriums) that covered Risk Management, Anti-Money Laundering, Sharia Basics, Credit, Business Continuity Management BCM, in addition to training courses tailored to newly appointed employees and training courses for professional certifications.
Moreover, Al-Omar said that the bank exerted efforts to further hone its employees’ skills by holding overseas training and conferences, in addition to courses to executives in cooperation with Harvard University and the Institute of Banking Studies.
He underscored the importance of enhancing and developing human resources as they are major factors in determining long-term profitability of the bank noting that investing in the development of employees’ skills is worthwhile since it increases their productivity and innovation.
