Kuwait Finance House (KFH), as part of its strategic partnership with CODED Academy, has concluded the activities of the 6th edition of the "Kuwait Codes" program. The closing ceremony featured showcase presentations of innovative student projects and the honoring of standout participants, with the attendance of numerous officials, partners, parents, and stakeholders from the technology and education sectors.

During his speech at the closing ceremony, Fahad AlSaad, Senior Manager of PR and Events at KFH, stated that the "Kuwait Codes" program is a pioneering initiative, reflecting KFH’s commitment to supporting education, empowering youth, and investing in their capabilities. He noted that the initiative equips participants with the technical and cognitive skills required to meet future demands and contribute to the digital transformation journey in the State of Kuwait.

AlSaad added that the strategic partnership between KFH and CODED Academy, which started in 2018, serves as a successful model of collaboration aimed at youth empowerment and investing in their technical capabilities. Through “Kuwait Codes” program, this partnership has successfully equipped more than 10,000 students with advanced digital and technical skills, helping prepare a generation capable of meeting future demands and addressing emerging challenges with confidence and competence. Furthermore, the initiative has contributed to raising cybersecurity awareness and embedding a digital culture across various age groups, supporting efforts to build a more digitally aware community prepared for rapid technological transformation.

AlSaad emphasized that investing in human capital is a key pillar of sustainable development, noting that KFH is committed to supporting initiatives that foster a generation capable of leading the digital future and advancing the knowledge economy. This aligns with Kuwait's vision for digital transformation and building a society grounded in innovation and technology.

He highlighted that the projects and ideas presented by the students during the closing ceremony reflect the vast imagination and promising capabilities the Kuwaiti youth possessed. He added that this underscores the initiative's success in cultivating analytical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, while fostering a spirit of creativity and entrepreneurship among the participants.

AlSaad pointed out that "Kuwait Codes" is no longer just a coding training program but has evolved into a national platform that helps discover young talent and empowers them to leverage technology in creating innovative solutions and ideas that serve the community and meet future needs.

AlSaad expressed his gratitude and appreciation to CODED Academy, its trainers, and everyone involved in the initiative. He also praised the vital role parents play in supporting and encouraging their children to acquire technical skills, while congratulating all participants on their outstanding achievements throughout the program.

Digital Sustainability Award

As part of its support for innovation and sustainability, AlSaad noted that KFH launched the "Digital Sustainability Award" for the best tech project aligned with sustainability concepts. The award aims to encourage students to develop innovative digital solutions that serve the community and advance the digital transformation journey. The award was won by student Nora Sulaiman Al-Khezai for her project "Be Aware", an innovative application that encourages community members to help keep Kuwait clean by reporting or photographing waste locations. The app leverages artificial intelligence to identify the type of waste in images, alongside a gamified points system that allows users to redeem points for rewards, thereby promoting a culture of social responsibility and environmental sustainability through innovative technical solutions.

AlSaad pointed out that supporting education and youth empowerment are core pillars for achieving sustainability, driven by KFH's firm belief that investing in human capital is the most crucial and impactful investment. This reflects its pioneering role in social responsibility and its ongoing commitment to contributing to a knowledge-based economy shaped by creativity and innovation.

He added that KFH will continue to invest in impactful, long-term qualitative initiatives, particularly in the fields of education, technology, and ingenuity, driven by its social responsibility and its commitment to its developmental role as an active partner in supporting the community.
