Kuwait Finance House (KFH) concluded its strategic participation in the "Sustainability Camp", one of the leading educational and awareness initiatives aimed at spreading a culture of sustainability and fostering environmental awareness among the younger generation.
More than 120 students participated in the one-month program, which provided them with comprehensive, practical, and educational experiences that combined knowledge, practice, and innovation across key areas of sustainability.
Executive Manager Corporate Relations and CSR at KFH, Faisal Alsurayye, said: “This participation confirms the bank's commitment to supporting environmental and developmental initiatives. It further reinforces its role in building a generation that is more aware of environmental issues and better equipped to create effective solutions for sustainability challenges, aligning with its social responsibility strategy and its dedication to empowering youth to build a more sustainable future."
He added that the four-week camp featured a rich program of educational and practical activities. Participants explored concepts of environmental sustainability, the circular economy, resource management, and conservation, while also developing their creative thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Working in specialized teams, students developed practical projects to address environmental challenges and proposed innovative, applicable solutions, reinforcing their understanding of sustainable innovation.
Alsurayye stated that at the camp’s end, KFH presented an award for the best project under its “Keep it Green” environmental campaign. This award recognized the students' outstanding efforts, encouraged their innovative solutions, and aimed to motivate ongoing initiative development while fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability to empower them in addressing future environmental challenges.
He emphasized KFH’s commitment to supporting these impactful initiatives, believing youth empowerment and engagement in sustainable development are essential. This commitment is realized by equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required to understand environmental challenges and create effective solutions. Additionally, these programs identify and nurture young talents, directing them toward fields that positively affect society and the environment.
He pointed out that KFH, through its "Keep it Green" campaign, continues to support environmental initiatives that promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness. This aligns with KFH's leading role in sustainability, its commitment to society and the environment, and its drive to build a better future for next generations.
