Kuwait Finance House (KFH), in partnership with the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped (KSH), has launched the sixth edition of its training program aimed at empowering individuals with special needs. Running from August through October 2026, the three-month program offers immersive skill-building designed to foster successful workforce integration.

Kuwait Finance House Acting Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer, Ahmad Alhammad, highlighted that the training program, currently supporting 11 trainees, underscores KFH’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

Alhammad emphasized that the program’s six-year momentum reflects KFH’s commitment to empowering individuals with special needs and integrating them into the workforce. This strategic partnership also plays a vital role in deepening employee engagement, reflecting KFH’s commitment to a workforce that is integral to the broader community.

Alhammad stressed that the program builds on previous versions by expanding its training scope and departmental reach. This gives participants real-world experience, enhancing their readiness for the job market, he added.

Furthermore, Alhammad stated that the trainees will be assigned to various departments across the bank. Notably, this year’s training plan introduces new departments for the first time, underscoring KFH’s ongoing commitment to enhancing and expanding the program's scope.

He praised the trainees' active engagement with department heads at the launch ceremony, where managers met the new cohort and personally handed over their official work IDs to mark the start of their training.

Alhammad noted that the program offers a comprehensive training journey tailored to offer meaningful real-life opportunities to develop practical skills in a supportive, inclusive environment, allowing participants of special needs to interact and grow.

Alhammad stressed that KFH remains committed to developing this annual program in cooperation with KSH, as part of a strategic partnership aimed at empowering individuals with special needs and raising organizational awareness about the importance of integrating them into community development.

Meanwhile, Director General of the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped, Baraa Al-Jenae said: “We take pride at KSH in the extended partnership with KFH, now in its sixth consecutive year.”

He added that the initiative is a strong example of effective cooperation between the financial sector and civil society institutions, contributing directly to empowering people with special needs and equipping them with practical experience and skills that improve their chances of integration and independence in the workplace.

Al-Jenae emphasized that this strategic partnership is an extension of a well-established relationship that has, over the years, proven its positive impact in developing the participants' capabilities and strengthening their self-confidence. “This is clearly reflected each year in the progress of the program's outcomes and its lasting impact on the trainees’ future,” he remarked.
