Participants emphasized that KFH serves as an outstanding role model for active public-private sector partnerships, given the bank's continuous commitment to supporting national initiatives and projects that serve society across various levels.

Meanwhile, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah, praised the leading social role of KFH, emphasizing that the Bank's contributions to various social initiatives are deeply appreciated for the genuine support they provide to community causes.

In remarks following the closing ceremony of the campaign, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef stated that KFH's contribution was pivotal in helping achieve the initiative's awareness goals.

He added that the bank made major contributions to this field, notably supporting the Addiction Treatment Center's rehabilitation of recovering individuals and assisting authorities in combating substance abuse and its societal impact.

A leading model in CSR

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Health, and the Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, who praised KFH for its support to community initiatives and recognized its key role as a strategic partner in the "A Nation Protects You" campaign.

The ministers lauded KFH for supporting numerous government-led initiatives across key social sectors, highlighting that KFH’s approach to social responsibility serves as a benchmark for the private sector.

Deputy Group CEO Technology and Operations, Haytham Alterkait, affirmed that the Bank's strategic partnership in the "A Nation Protects You" campaign stems from its leading community role and its commitment to supporting impactful national awareness initiatives that benefit Kuwaiti society.

He explained that the campaign served as an exemplary model of public-private collaboration, which ultimately benefits society.

Alterkait expressed his sincere gratitude to all participating ministries, institutions, and individuals whose collaborative efforts drove the campaign's success and advanced its national awareness objectives. He particularly highlighted the Ministry of Interior for its pivotal role throughout the initiative.

Strategic contributions

KFH has a distinguished track record of supporting national and community initiatives, with its most notable contributions including:

• The construction and opening of an addiction treatment hospital's tenth ward, costing KD 4.5 million in total.
• KD 15 million to fund the construction and equipping of the new Cardiac Diseases and Research Center at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital.
• KD 8 million for the reconstruction of the damaged area in Al Mubarakiya.
• KD 20 million to build 15 ambulance centers to support the health ecosystem.
• Spearheaded a landmark initiative in partnership with the Ministry of Justice to relieve defaulting debtors, bringing KFH’s total contributions to over KD 61 million since 2019.
• KD 10 contribution to support the Covid-19 Government Relief Fund, alongside an additional standalone contribution.
• USD 13 million contribution to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund.
• USD 6 Million to repair damaged power stations.
