Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has announced a KD 2 million contribution to a debt-relief campaign organized by the Ministry of Justice. This initiative underscores the bank’s commitment to supporting government efforts, fulfilling its social responsibility, serving the interests of citizens, and fostering community solidarity.
KFH’s latest contribution further reinforces its track record in supporting debt relief initiatives. Since 2019, the bank’s total contributions toward settling the debts of defaulting individuals have exceeded KD 61 million.
One of the bank’s most prominent social responsibility initiatives was launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice. This first-of-its-kind commitment provided KD 20 million to assist ten thousand debtors facing judicial rulings.
Following the positive community response to the program's 2019 launch, KFH continued to expand its scope to reach a broader segment of beneficiaries. Building on this success, the bank also implemented the initiative in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in coordination with the Bahraini Ministry of Justice.
KFH has consistently supported national efforts during various crises. Driven by its commitment to Kuwait and its people, the bank was the largest contributor to the KD 10 million fund established by the Central Bank of Kuwait to support government initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The bank also made an additional standalone contribution to the fund, which was overseen by the Council of Ministers to support national priorities and emergency interventions during the pandemic.
Moreover, KFH allocated KD 8 million to reconstruct and rehabilitate the damaged area in Al-Mubarakiya, ensuring that the landmark reflects its cultural and heritage significance.
KFH contributed to the establishment and equipping of the tenth ward at the Addiction Treatment Center, completing its long-standing initiative to develop the facility since 2005. Additionally, the bank allocated KD 20 million to build 15 ambulance centers, reinforcing the national healthcare system as part of its broader commitment to social responsibility.
KFH further strengthens its leadership in social responsibility by consistently supporting key national entities, including KFAS, the National Employment Support Program, and the Institute of Banking Studies.
The bank plays a pivotal role in sustainable development by supporting a wide range of social initiatives across healthcare, education, youth, sports, and innovation, in addition to environmental conservation and the promotion of social solidarity. It also remains a dedicated supporter of people with special needs, as well as various national programs, campaigns, and events.
