Kuwait Finance House KFH, the world Islamic financial institution, has taken part in the World Diabetes Day organized by Dasman Diabetes Institute for the fourth consecutive year as part of its social responsibility and its keenness to spread awareness about the dangers of this disease, especially that the health condition of society is closely related to social and comprehensive development.
World Diabetes Day’s activities were attended by Peruvian Ambassador in Kuwait and a galaxy of doctors. It is worth noting that KFH has been holding this event for the past 6 years. Small clinics were setup at Baitak Tower to allow the public to undergo examinations, and those clinics were manned by Dasman Diabetes Centre, Amiri Hospital, Kuwait Diabetes Care Team, Al-Salam Hospital, Rejemy Centre, Diet Center, and Lo Fat.
KFH is considered to be the first Islamic institution worldwide to ink an international agreement with IDF to serve millions of diabetic patients. In addition, KFH has sent during the past three years numerous scholarships to further study diabetes at international medical centers, such as Harvard University.
