What is KFH Wallet ?
KFH Wallet , is an innovative contactless payment service introduced by Kuwait Finance House that enables you to use your Android mobile devices to pay for your in-store purchases.
Who can use KFH Wallet?
All KFH Credit and Prepaid cardholders using NFC-enabled Android KitKat 5.0 and above devices can use KFH Wallet.
How does the KFH Wallet work?
With KFH Wallet, you can use your Android device to pay for in-store purchases by simply placing your Android device on any NFC-enabled certified contactless point-of-sale terminal in Kuwait or abroad.
What is NFC?
Near Field Communication (NFC) is a technology that utilizes radio frequency to establish a secure wireless connection between an NFC-enabled device and an NFC-enabled point-of-sale terminal.
Where do I find the KFH Wallet on my phone?
KFH Wallet portal is available in your regular KFH Online mobile application. You simply tap the menu button in the app to find KFH Wallet icon.
Do I need to login on KFH Online to access KFH Wallet?
No. You don’t need to login on KFH Online to access the KFH Wallet service.
How do I start using KFH Wallet?
To start using KFH Wallet is a very easy process. Make sure you have updated/downloaded the latest version of the KFH Online mobile app.
Simply access KFH Online mobile app on your phone and find the KFH Wallet portal in the app menu. You will be required to do an easy one-time registration for this service wherein you will register with your Civil ID, enter One Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number, create your own 4-digit KFH Wallet PIN and register your fingerprint.
Once you have successfully registered, you can easily start adding your KFH MasterCard credit and prepaid cards to the KFH Wallet. After you have added your cards, you will be required to enter your KFH Online password in order to activate/enable your cards. On successful enablement, your KFH Wallet will be ready for making in-store purchases.
Why do I have to enter my KFH online password to activate/enable my card on KFH Wallet?
This step is necessary to ensure that for the KFH Wallet it is only you who is able to add cards which belong to you in the KFH systems.
How would I know that my card is enabled on KFH Wallet and ready for contactless payment?
When you add your card to the KFH Wallet, the card image will appear in monochrome. Once the card is successfully activated/enabled and ready for use, the card will appear to be in the same color as your physical plastic card.
What is KFH Wallet PIN?
At the time of making a purchase, you will be required to enter your KFH Wallet PIN in the mobile app to complete the transaction. This 4-digit Wallet PIN will be created by you at the time of registration. Only one KFH Wallet PIN is used for making transactions with any KFH card you select from the KFH Wallet.
Instead of the Wallet PIN, you can also use your registered fingerprint to complete the purchase with any KFH card you select from the KFH Wallet.
How many cards can I add to KFH Wallet?
You can add up to 6 cards in the KFH Wallet.
Can I add somebody else’s KFH card to my KFH Wallet?
You will be able to add only those KFH cards that are linked to your customer profile in the KFH systems.
What is the small green circle on the top corner of my card in the KFH Wallet?
The green circle on the top corner of your card will indicate the number of contactless transactions (known as Tokens) you can initiate with your KFH Wallet. At any time you will have a maximum of 10 Tokens available for your Mastercard card. And for your Visa card, a tick mark will indicate that Tokens are available.
If your phone is connected to the internet, these Tokens will automatically replenish for your card.
This is for advanced security of your card details whenever you use KFH Wallet for contactless transactions.
Do I have to be connected to the internet to perform KFH Wallet contactless transactions?
You do not need internet connectivity on your phone to perform KFH Wallet contactless transactions as long as you have Tokens available on the card. The Tokens will automatically replenish when your phone connects to the internet.
Where can I use the KFH Wallet?
You can use your KFH Wallet to make payments at any NFC-enabled contactless payment terminal available worldwide. Simply look for the contactless payment sign at the store.
How can I use KFH Wallet to make purchases?
Making purchases with KFH Wallet on your phone is very easy and safe.
Open your KFH Online App and tap on KFH Wallet icon. Select the card you want to the make the payment with. Enter your KFH Wallet PIN or use your registered fingerprint to authorize the transaction. Simply hold your phone over the NFC-enabled terminal. Your purchase payment is complete.
What is the countdown timer that is being displayed on KFH Wallet at the time of making a purchase payment?
You will have 1 minute to complete your contactless payment using your KFH Wallet. You can very easily refresh the countdown back to 1 minute at any time while you wait to pay at the store cashier counter.
Why there is a different card number printed on a transaction slip that I receive from the merchant when I pay with KFH Wallet?
Every time you add a KFH card to the KFH Wallet the KFH system will create a unique 16-digit alternative number for your physical card number. This alternative number will be used for contactless transaction instead of the number on your physical card to make payments more secure. For KFH Wallet transactions, the transaction slip will only show the alternative card number. This is to protect your card information in a contactless payment transaction.
You will find the last 4-digits of your alternative card number displayed on the card image in your KFH Wallet.
When I am holding my phone over a NFC contactless terminal to pay with KFH Wallet, why are other applications such as ‘Android Pay’ or ‘Samsung Pay’ opening on my phone?
You simply have to set KFH Wallet as your default mobile payment service by following the below easy steps on your phone:
Settings -> Connections -> NFC and payment -> Tap and pay -> Select KFH Wallet as your default mobile payment service.
Also ensure that the ‘NFC and payment’ option in your phone is switched On.
How can I view the history of my transactions made with KFH Wallet?
You will be able to view all your transactions through the respective card statements that you normally receive.
Can I still continue to use my physical plastic KFH card after I add it to the KFH Wallet?
Yes, you can continue using your physical plastic KFH card normally.
How safe is it to use KFH Wallet?
Each time you use your KFH Wallet to make a purchase, for authentication you will be asked to enter the 4-digit Wallet PIN or fingerprint you had set up at the time of registration for this service. Therefore, only you will be able to initiate and authorize a contactless transactions using KFH Wallet.
What if my phone is lost or stolen with the KFH Wallet having activated cards?
If your phone is lost or stolen and you have KFH Wallet with activated cards, you just have to call Allo Baitak to report your phone with KFH Wallet to be lost and KFH will terminate your KFH Wallet profile as to be inactivated for any further KFH Wallet activities. Moreover, whoever has found or stolen your phone will not be able to make any KFH Wallet mobile payments without the knowledge of your phone lock passcode, KFH Wallet PIN or fingerprint.
Please note that even after your KFH Wallet is terminated, you can still safely continue to use your physical plastic KFH card to make purchases and cash withdrawals.
Can I have KFH Wallet activated on different phones?
You can have the KFH Wallet profile activated on only one phone at a time.
What if I have bought a new phone but my KFH Wallet is activated on my old phone?
You will have to terminate the KFH Wallet from your old phone. After that you have to simply follow the same initial process to register for the KFH Wallet with your new phone and add your KFH cards.
What if I don’t have my old phone with me currently, but I had activated the KFH Wallet on it earlier? Now I want to activate the KFH Wallet on my new phone.
In this case, you just have to call Allo Baitak and request the KFH agent to terminate the KFH Wallet profile from the KFH systems. After that you have to simply follow the same initial process to register for the KFH Wallet with your new phone and add your KFH cards.
How can I delete a card from my KFH Wallet?
Tap on KFH Wallet icon in KFH Online banking app. Tap on the settings icon next to the card you want to delete and click on Delete Card. Enter your KFH online password to authorize the deletion of the card from the KFH Wallet.
If I delete my cards from KFH Wallet, would that cancel my physical cards also?
There is no impact on your physical cards if you delete them from the KFH Wallet. You can continue using your physical cards normally.
What If my physical card is cancelled or blocked, can I continue using the card on KFH Wallet?
You will not be able to make payments with KFH Wallet if your physical card is cancelled or blocked.
What if I forget or want to change my KFH Wallet PIN?
Tap on KFH Wallet icon in KFH Online banking app. Tap on the settings icon and click on Change Wallet PIN. Enter and confirm the new Wallet PIN. Register your fingerprint to connect with the new PIN. Enter your KFH online password to authorize your request to change KFH Wallet PIN.
What if I am unable to add or use my card on KFH Wallet?
You can complete your purchase payment using your physical card and contact Allo Baitak for further assistance.
What does Suspend Wallet / Suspend Card mean?
Suspend Wallet is a function that assists you in temporarily setting your entire KFH Wallet in inactive mode. With this, the KFH Wallet will be non-functional. You can easily bring the KFH Wallet back to active mode by simply using the Unsuspend Wallet function.
Suspend Card is a function that assists you in temporarily setting only the selected card to be in inactive mode. With this, only the suspended card will be non-functional, but the KFH Wallet will remain active. You can easily bring the card back to active mode by simply using the Unsuspend Card function.
This activity will prompt you to enter your KFH Online password to authorize your request.
What does Terminate Wallet mean?
Terminate Wallet is a function that assists you in cancelling your KFH Wallet service on your phone. After that you will not be able to perform any KFH Wallet activities or NFC payments with the phone. If you wish to use the KFH Wallet again, you have to simply follow the same initial process to register for the KFH Wallet with your phone and add your KFH cards.
This activity will prompt you to enter your KFH Online password to authorize your request.
What does Replenish Tokens means?
Replenish Tokens is a function that assist you to initiate a request anytime you wish to refresh the number of Tokens assigned to your card in the KFH Wallet. Your phone is required to be connected to the internet in order to complete this request. This function is only available for your Mastercard card.
