Kuwait Finance House (KFH) maintains its strategic partnership for Kuwait's largest cybersecurity hackathon for the third consecutive year. Launching on December 6th, the competition is held under the patronage of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah, and is sponsored by the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) and organized by CODED Academy.
The renewal of the strategic partnership was announced during a meeting attended by KFH Senior Manager of PR and Event Management, Fahad AlSaad; NCSC representative, Basil Abdulraheem; and CODED Academy CEO, Ahmad Marafi.

Commenting on this occasion, KFH Senior Manager PR and Event Management, Fahad AlSaad stated that this initiative is the largest event in coding and cybersecurity, with prizes valued at more than KD 15,000. He affirmed that KFH’s participation is part of the Bank’s leadership in fostering innovation, empowering the youth and honing their skills and knowledge to create and added value for the community.
He noted that the hackathon equips a generation with cybersecurity, technology applications and coding skills. It also provides participants with practical experience and certifications that enhance their career prospects. “This aligns with KFH’s strategy of innovation and social development,” AlSaad noted.
He reiterated the significance of leveraging modern technology and digital learning in strengthening cybersecurity, highlighting its importance to the global economy and banking sector in serving the public interest and protecting customers data.
National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) Representative - Basil Abdulraheem
NCSC representative, Basil Abdulraheem, commended KFH’s support to Hackathon Kuwait which demonstrates the Bank’s interest in youth and reinforces public-private partnerships through initiatives that encourage youth to innovate and refine their talents. He pointed out that these initiatives reflect the country’s commitment to the importance of investing in young national talents in cybersecurity to ensure the existence of a safer cyber space.
CODED Academy CEO - Ahmad Marafi
In his statement, CODED Academy CEO, Ahmad Marafi, lauded the strategic partnership with KFH, established in 2018. This partnership aligns with the Bank’s strategy and commitment to investing in youth within the cybersecurity sector. He affirmed that this collaboration serves as a successful model of synergy between the banking sector and educational institutions for boosting innovation and digital transformation.
