Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Acting Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer, Ahmad Alhammad, affirmed the Bank’s commitment to fulfilling its pioneering social responsibility role in the community.
Speaking at the closing ceremony honoring the fifth cohort of trainees with special needs, organized in cooperation with the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped (KSH), Alhammad said that supporting and developing national capabilities, especially people with special needs, is a long-term strategy at KFH.
“This underlines KFH’s social role and reflects its keenness to address key social matters and serve different segments of society. It also demonstrates the Bank’s ambitious vision toward enhancing human talents to help them contribute to development efforts.”
Alhammad expressed his pride in honoring this cohort in collaboration with KSH, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities that falls on 3 December each year. The event marks the conclusion of the training program organized by KFH, designed to hone the skills of trainees with special needs in innovation and creativity, help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals through the best possible means.
He added: “KFH established a partnership with KSH five years ago to train and qualify distinguished groups of young Kuwaitis with disabilities. We were delighted to witness their strong commitment to self-development and their high ability to engage with the training content. This confirms that we are dealing with a group of highly determined individuals who can serve their country and themselves."
Alhammad pointed out that the initiative is a successful step towards integrating this segment into society and practical life, helping them build a better future.
He extended his appreciation to everyone who contributed to organizing and ensuring the success of this training program, which comprised 100 training hours during which the trainees rotated across various departments, including branches, HR, Cards and others.
Alhammad congratulated the trainees who demonstrated commitment and determination to achieve, wishing them continued success in their social and practical lives.
It is worth noting that KFH continues to focus on individuals with special needs across all age groups. This is evident in the Bank’s active participation in initiatives and programs that are designed for this segment. Additionally, KFH contributes to many initiatives related to people with special needs with the aim of supporting their wellbeing and integrating them with their peers. These efforts are held in cooperation with KSH and the Kuwaiti Society for the Guardians of the Disabled.
KFH also organizes training courses for employees to equip them with skills needed to deal with people with disabilities, such as sign language, as well as the proper principles for handling and serving customers with disabilities and elderly individuals in branches and sales centers. The Bank also offers ATMs and various e-channels with technical assistance to facilitate banking transactions for this society segment.
