Setting up Google Pay™ is so easy
To set up Google Pay App, firstly:
Update your device software
Download Google Pay™
Open the Google Pay™ and set up a screen lock
To make purchases in-stores, make sure your device has NFC and NFC is turned on.
Android Phones:
Open Google Pay™ app and log in using your Google account
Take a picture of your card or enter the card details manually
Verify additional information and accept Terms and Conditions
Enter the Authentication Code and Submit
Your card is ready to use
Watch:
If you add a card to your watch, you won't need your phone to pay.
On your watch, open the Google Pay™ app.
Tap Get started.
Set up screen lock (if you haven't already).
On your phone, follow the instructions to add a credit or debit card.*
Your card will show up on your watch.
*Note: This only adds a card to the Google Pay™ app on your watch (not your phone).
You are now ready to start paying with Google Pay™
Paying in shops with your phone
To make a purchase, wake up the device and hold it near the contactless reader until your device beeps or vibrates and a checkmark appears on the screen indicating your purchase is complete. You may be prompted to unlock the device first by providing your PIN, passcode, pattern or fingerprint.
Paying in shops with your Watch
On your watch, open Google Pay™.
Hold your watch over the contactless payment terminal until you hear a sound or feel vibration from your watch.
If asked, choose 'Credit' regardless of your type of card.
For debit card transactions, you may have to enter a PIN. Use the PIN that you set up with your bank.
To make any payments with Google Pay, Google Pay should be set as default payment wallet through the steps below:
Settings -> Connections -> NFC and Payment -> Tap and Pay

Seamlessly use your eligible KFH (formerly AUB) debit and/or credit cards with your Android device. Enjoy the convenience of Google Pay, accepted wherever contactless payments are available.
2- How do I get Google Pay on my Device?
Google Pay may be preloaded on select devices. If your device does not have the App, simply download it from Google Play. Google Pay requires that you sign-into your Google account before you register any credit/debit cards. During setup of Google Pay, you will be prompted to create a Google Pay PIN, pattern, or password. For select devices running Google Marshmallow 6.0 or later, you may use your fingerprint to verify transactions.
3- How is Google Pay secure?
Google Pay protects your payment info with multiple layers of security, using one of the world's most advanced security infrastructures to help keep your information safe. When you use your phone to pay in stores, Google Pay doesn't send your actual credit or debit card number with your payment. Instead, a virtual account number is used to represent your information - so your card details stay safe.
4- Who can use Google Pay?
All Kuwait Finance House (formerly Ahli United Bank) debit and credit card holders using Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled devices.
The Near Field Communication (NFC) is the technology which allows your Smartphone to communicate with the terminal at any merchant accepting contactless transactions. Instead of inserting or swiping a card, payments can be made by placing the contactless Card or phone near the contactless payment terminal at stores.
5- What is the difference between Google Wallet and Google Pay?
Google Pay is the safe way to pay and make secure purchases in stores, in Apps, and on the web.
Google Wallet is the place where you store your credit or debit cards so you can use them with Google
Pay.
6- Will Google Wallet be available on Fitbit?
Google Wallet will be available on Fitbit in all of the markets that Google Wallet is supported.
7- Will Wallet functionality be available on Wear OS?
Users with a supported non-Samsung Wear device will see the Wallet App on their device after a Play.
Store update (which should be automatic); those with Samsung devices will be able to install Wallet from the Play Store.
8- Can I use Google Wallet on any Android phone?
Google Wallet is available to users on any Android phone running Android 5.2 or later.
9- How can I get the Google Wallet on my Android?
Android users can download the Google Wallet App in the Play Store.
10- Is there is any fees to add my card in Google wallet?
There are no fees. However, after you add a card, you might find a small transaction on your account from Google Wallet. This transaction checks that your card and account are valid. This transaction will soon disappear and doesn’t affect your balance.
11- Do I need to unlock my device to make a payment?
For contactless transactions under a certain amount, you may not need to unlock your phone, For added security you can follow below steps set up your phone so that it must be unlocked to complete a near field communication (NFC) transaction
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Connected devices - Connection preferences - NFC.
- Turn on Require device unlock for NFC.
- If you can't find this option, you may need to update your phone to the latest version of Android.
