  • Register your boat at the marine survey department before sailing.
  • Get the ownership proof from the manufacturer or the importer that shows the specifications of the boat.
  • Ensure the clear writing of the name and the number to the body of the boat and the safety equipments. Don’t forget to renew the certificate of the safety equipment before its expiry to avoid the legal consequences.
  • Get an insurance policy for the boat.

  • Check each of the sea water valves (or the gate valves if existed to the junctions spreading throughout the boat body). Ensure they are working well and can be closed quickly.
  • Check all pumps assigned for removing the water from the bottom of the boat or put the pump in a bucket filled with water, then ensure that the automatic float switch is not blocked as a result of corrosion or dust.
  • Check all the fastening points on each of the metal parts of the boat to ensure that all the screws and nuts (bolts) are fastened tightly, including robes, steel boards and hoisters, in addition to the leader knobs and rods and the safety of the hooks.
  • Immerse all the robes in a cleaning solution of fresh water and leave it for one night, then rinse it well by fresh water. After drying, check their intact.
  • Check the seal around the rotator fan axis, since the nylon thread usually spread into the rubber edges.
  • The fan itself should be checked to ensure it is free of cracks and does not give unusual sound.
  • Check the water cooling circulation of the motor.
  • If the fuel was left in the tank for longer than two months, draw it out and rinse it up by new fuel.
  • Press the rubber fuel tube well and take care of these parts, because the heat of the motor may damage them in short time.
  • It is preferred to wash the boat’s engine with fresh water after each voyage.
