What is the International Bank Account Number (IBAN)?
The (IBAN) is not a new account number, (IBAN) is a reformulation of the existing
bank account numbers consisting of a set of letters and numbers to be added to your
existing account numbers, in order to unify the format of account numbers and to
make all local and international transfers easily and safely.
Example:
Your existing KFH account number: 01101XXXXXXX
The number after implementing the (IBAN) format : KW XX KFHO 0000 0000
00 01101XXXXXXX

Why should you use the (IBAN)?
- To conduct local and international money transfers from/to your KFH account.
-
Creating new Standing Order Instructions issued after 1/1/2011.
Therefore you need to provide your IBAN to any party who wishes to transfer money
to your KFH account and when transferring money to them you have to ask them for
their IBAN as well.
How do you get the (IBAN) for your KFH account(s)?
You can easily acquire your (IBAN) numbers free of charge through your account statement
or through any of the following channels:
- “KFH Online”
- “Allo Baitak” (180 3333).
- KFH branches.
What about the Internal Transfers within KFH?
You can still make internal money transfers (KFH customers’ accounts) without the
use of (IBAN) since it is sufficient to use the existing account numbers with the
present format for transfers.
